Nakarid Ochoa, Food & Beverage Captain
Sinds ze in 1998 bij Bucuti & Tara begon, staat Nakarid Ochoa bekend om haar rustige leiderschap en warme gastvrijheid.

Als trotse moeder van drie brengt Nakarid dezelfde toewijding naar haar gezin als naar haar team. Haar leiderschap heeft erkenning gekregen binnen de Arubaanse hospitalitysector, waaronder een nominatie voor de AHATA Awards. Nakarid is ook de trotse “mama” van Paco, een geelkopamazonepapegaai die een van Bucuti & Tara’s geliefde, geredde mascottes is.

Buiten het resort is Nakarid een gecertificeerde lokale ambachtsvrouw en bestuurslid van de Arts & Crafts Foundation, waar zij zich inzet voor duurzaamheid en het behoud van Aruba’s creatieve cultuur. Daarnaast ondersteunt zij lokale dierenopvangcentra door zwerfhonden te helpen herplaatsen en gemeenschapsbetrokkenheid bij dierenwelzijn te stimuleren.

Ettel Boyce, Senior Hostess
Elke avond staat Ettel Boyce in restaurant Elements centraal in de gastervaring. Met precisie en rustig leiderschap coördineert zij reserveringen, ondersteunt zij haar team en zorgt zij ervoor dat elke aankomst van gasten vlekkeloos verloopt – met het besef dat elke gast een herinnering voor het leven creëert.

Buiten Elements is Ettel een nationaal kampioen gewichtheffen die Aruba internationaal vertegenwoordigt en meerdere medailles voor het eiland heeft gewonnen. Daarnaast leidt zij een actieve levensstijl met hardlopen en deelname aan fitnessactiviteiten in de gemeenschap.

Zowel professioneel als persoonlijk gaat zij elk aspect van haar leven met discipline en vastberadenheid aan, waarmee zij anderen inspireert hun doelen met kracht en zelfvertrouwen na te streven.

“Ettel is een inspirerend voorbeeld voor jonge vrouwen in de gemeenschap en laat zien dat vrouwen krachtig, veerkrachtig en ambitieus kunnen zijn op elk terrein,” zegt Nicolas Nemalceff, Director of Food & Beverage.

Jennifer Teixeira, Food & Beverage Supervisor
Jennifer Teixeira’s reis naar Bucuti & Tara omvat continenten en culturen. Oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit Canada met Braziliaanse roots, staat Jennifer bekend om haar warmte en ondersteunende leiderschap binnen het diningteam van Bucuti & Tara.

Buiten het werk drukt Jennifer haar liefde voor Aruba uit via fotografie, waarbij zij het landschap, de natuur en de wilde dieren van het eiland vastlegt. Haar compassie strekt zich ook uit tot dieren in nood. Jennifer zet zich regelmatig in als vrijwilliger bij lokale opvangcentra, stimuleert adoptie van huisdieren en neemt in haar vrije tijd reddingshonden mee naar het strand samen met haar dochter.

Met creativiteit, medeleven en een positieve energie tilt Jennifer zowel haar collega’s als de gemeenschap om haar heen naar een hoger niveau.

“Door haar fotografie inspireert ze anderen om te waarderen en te beschermen wat het eiland zo bijzonder maakt,” zegt Nicolas Nemalceff, Director of Food & Beverage.

Natalie Brandts, Wellness Specialist
Naast het samenstellen van wellnessprogramma’s voor gasten speelt Natalie een belangrijke rol in het welzijn van Bucuti-medewerkers. Voor veel teamleden kan de eerste stap naar de gym intimiderend zijn, maar Natalie maakt van dat moment een ervaring van aanmoediging en mogelijkheden.

Ze helpt een cultuur van welzijn binnen Bucuti & Tara te creëren door medewerkers aan te moedigen zelfvertrouwen op te bouwen, gezonde routines te ontwikkelen en balans in hun leven te vinden.

Omdat welzijn holistisch is, is Natalie ook een actief lid van de BAV, waar ze collega’s verbindt met mogelijkheden voor professionele ontwikkeling, teamengagement en gezamenlijk succes.

“Natalie’s impact is zowel professioneel als persoonlijk, omdat zij voortdurend de gezondheid en het welzijn van de mensen om haar heen ondersteunt,” zegt Björn Brandts, Wellness Specialist.

Madeline Gower-Fernandez, Senior Concierge
Voor veel terugkerende gasten is Madeline “Madi” Gower-Fernandez een vertrouwd en warm gezicht dat een verblijf bij Bucuti & Tara transformeert in een blijvende band. Zij onthoudt hun verhalen, hun favoriete plekken op het eiland en soms zelfs de snack waar ze niet zonder kunnen. Deze aandacht voor detail en oprechte zorg laten elke gast zich thuis voelen.

Binnen de resortfamilie ondersteunt Madi de interne gemeenschap via haar betrokkenheid bij de Bucuti Associates Association (BAV) en het Savings & Loans-programma, waarmee zij professionele ontwikkeling en financieel welzijn van collega’s versterkt.

Thuis is zij een toegewijde moeder met een druk gezinsleven vol sportactiviteiten, haar eigen workouts in de gym en de Bucuti-teamwandelingen waar zij zo van houdt.

Madi’s vrijgevigheid en stille moed herinneren iedereen eraan dat ware kracht ligt in het aangaan van de uitdagingen van het leven terwijl je anderen blijft ondersteunen.

“Madi belichaamt de geest van Bucuti & Tara. Ze combineert de zorg voor gasten, steun voor collega’s en haar rol als toegewijde moeder met veerkracht en vriendelijkheid, waarmee ze iedereen om haar heen inspireert,” zegt Natalie Brandts, die Madi nomineerde.

Een cultuur van erkenning

Met vrouwen vertegenwoordigd op elk niveau van de organisatie blijft Bucuti & Tara een cultuur bevorderen die empowerment, gelijkheid en kansen centraal stelt.

Door elk jaar Internationale Vrouwendag te vieren erkent het resort zowel de professionele prestaties van deze vrouwen als hun persoonlijke kracht en impact op de gemeenschap – eigenschappen die hen tot ware rolmodellen maken.
